Pre-Program Assessment of Individual Skills

Davis® Dyslexia Correction Program

  • Perceptual Ability Assessment: To determine whether or not the individual is a strong picture thinker or kinesthetic learner and will benefit from orientation exercises.
  • Symptoms Profile: By answering a series of questions, to assess the individual's strengths and weaknesses and goals for program completion.
  • Reading Skills Assessment: To evaluate the individual's word recognition skills, oral reading skills, and sometimes listening comprehension skills.

Davis® Math Mastery Program:

  • Perceptual Ability Assessment: To determine whether or not the individual is a strong picture thinker or kinesthetic learner and will benefit from orientation exercises.
  • Symptoms Profile: By answering a series of questions, to assess the individual's strengths and weaknesses and goals for program completion. (If a child is being evaluated, his or her parents will answer the same questions about the child.)
  • Math Skills Assessment: To informally assess overall math skills.
